About

I’m a Toronto-based Graphic Designer and aspiring Art Historian, originally from Brazil, with a strong foundation in art history, visual culture, and design principles. I have a deep passion for Japanese and Korean art, which I explore alongside Western traditions, rooted in a desire to decolonize my work and studies and embrace a truly global perspective.

With three years of academic experience, I specialize in translating historical and cultural influences into modern, impactful visual communication. My design practice is shaped by a deep appreciation for aesthetics, symbolism, and narrative. I draw on a wide spectrum of visual traditions and cultural expressions to create work that is not only functional but conceptually rich. I explore how form, pattern, and color convey meaning across various contexts, approaching every project with a balance of research, creativity, and strategic thinking.

Having worked in fast-paced, client-facing environments, I bring adaptability, collaboration, and clear communication to every project—ensuring designs resonate both visually and experientially.

Through my blog, I share my love for art, design, literature, and cross-cultural artistic traditions, exploring the stories behind every brushstroke, page, and visual expression. I hope to inspire reflection, learning, and curiosity in others as I continue my own journey.
